Miss Kety Jimenez has graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic, with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, in 2010. She earned her M.Sc. degree also in Physics from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, 2013. She worked as a research assistant in the University of Puerto Rico Humacao Campus for her master thesis on Atomic Force Microscope Grain Size Analysis and Surface Shearing effects on PVDF(Tr-FE) Ferroelectric surface, a project funded by the Department of Defense of United States; Results were published in Ferroelectric, 2015. After finish the Master Program, she returned to her country to work as a teaching assistant at the Physics Department at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo.
Miss. Jimenez joined the EXTATIC Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate program in October 2015. Her project title is “Design, Development, and characterization of thin-film filters for high brilliance sources in the UV-X-ray Spectral range”. She finished her Ph.D. Program in December 2019, results of her thesis dissertation were published in Thin Solid Films, 2020. Currently, she is professor at the Autónoma de Santo Domingo University (UASD) and at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC).
